Have ever really taken a look at how much money you spend every month on pet food and supplies? Just the other day I was going over my bills and looking through receipts when I realized that I was spending an awful lot of money on cat food. I have three cats and I love them but I just wasn’t aware of how much I was paying each month to feed them. It seems that a few dollars here and there were adding up to quite a bit of money. Can you believe that for the month of December I spend well over $80 to feed my pets! I was astounded and realized that it was about time to start finding a way to save money on pet food before my cats literally ate me out of house and home.

That is when it hit me, the newspaper. I have been getting the Sunday paper for years now and I never realized it before. The newspaper is filled with coupons for various grocery items. I never looked closely enough to see how much money I could save on all of the things that buy buy every time I go shopping, this includes cat food. As I was flipping through the pages, studying all of the different coupons, I came across a few very nice ones. They were Iams cat food coupons, that is the brand that my cats prefer. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to find them. If I had used those cat food coupons when I paid for my shopping order I could have paid almost half as much for the cat food.

A lesson learned I guess. You had better believe that I will be scouring through those coupons from now on looking for more ways to save on cat food and much more.
